If every creative woman were as devoted to herself as she is to her relationships with others, what kind of world would we live in?
Found Objects is a 45-minute narrative film about Claire Randall’s attempts to alleviate her angst from feeling trapped in the domestic sphere. Claire’s husband, Jack, owns his own business and is frequently gone from home. Jack’s absence leaves Claire in sole charge of the house and their three children. To cope, Claire honors her compulsion to create shadowboxes made from the found objects she finds during her walks in the country near her home, and from antique and junk shops.
Claire has also created an imaginary mystery man who fills in where her husband leaves off. While he serves his purpose for a time, Claire ultimately finds the love and satisfaction she seeks in a most unexpected place.
